Dunamis Construction, Corp., founded in 2007 under the laws of Puerto Rico, is a construction company specializing in civil, infrastructure, architectural, plumbing, HVAC and electrical engineering projects. Dunamis is composed of a group of high-caliber professionals with solid experience and innovative engineering ideas. This group of professionals offers to our clients, the opportunity to build high quality projects with state of the art technology. Our personnel includes civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, general managers, cost control supervisor, electronic data computer manager, accounting manager, secretaries and clerical assistants. José R. Hernández Colón PRESIDENT & CEO

José R. Hernández Colón brings to construction industry a fresh combination of experience and innovation. Before presiding Dunamis Construction, Corp., Mr. Hernández Colón held various positions in other construction organizations beginning as electrician’s assistant, purchasing agent, later becoming responsible for all costs analysis used in preparation of bid proposals and financial analysis; and subsequently as General Manager of an electrical construction company while at the same time serving as president of a general construction company. 

 

Mr. Hernández Colón leadership skills instilled principles of loyalty and work ethics among his peers and employees and a well-defined structured vision for business development initiatives. His exceptional guidance and sincere no-nonsense style has resulted in successful significant growth both in sales and number of projects. Presently as Executive Officer for Dunamis Const. Corp., the experience gained in his previous positions, has allowed Mr. Hernández Colón to focus on the development of efficient use of resources within the company, organizing his staff to excel in their performance of assigned areas and tasks.

 

His capability to unite people and his ability to grasp expectations from different perspectives enables us, as a company, to become the best alternative for our clients within the construction field.

Francisco Javier Castro
BUDGET, PROJECTS &
OPERATIONS VP

Francisco Javier Castro has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. Eng. Castro has achieved an excellent knowledge in disciplines such as: Project Management, Project Scheduling, Project Development, Reports Preparation, Outsourcing/Subcontracted Services, Cost Control and Safety Compliance (OSHA).

 

As part of the management team of Dunamis, Eng. Castro has been involved in the following projects: “Remodelación de la Plaza San Juan Bautista, Fase I”, “Mejoras a la Carr. 837, Calles Orquidea y San Ignacio, Bo. Santa Rosa I, Fase I, Soterrrado de Líneas Eléctricas, Comunicación y otros”, “Weatherization Assistance Program”, “Adquisición e Instalación de un (1) transformador y la instalación de facilidades eléctricas para el sistema de sonido de las tres (3) salas del Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré”, “Rio Piedras South Parking Transportation & Parking Building Packaged engine generator (Rio 2012)”, “Reemplazo de tubería de descarga en la Planta de Filtración Enrique Ortega, Toa Alta”, “Lago Cidra Dam Rehabilitation, Cidra” and “Alimentador Soterrado 3602-3, Guavate”,  among others.

Carlos E. Rios Torres
PROJECT MANAGER

Carlos E. Ríos Torres is a licensed electrician (license number 9571) with over twenty years of experience in electrical work.  He works coordinating and supervising projects and enforcing adherence to safety practices. He has been in charge of projects that include the construction of new electrical facilities (aerial and underground), sub-station’s installation, primary splicing and terminations, manholes installations, among others.

 

He is in charge of hiring subcontractors, supervising field personnel, project’s inspection, analyzing technical problems, attending weekly meetings and submitting recommendations. On the public sector he has been in charge of projects such as: “Rehabilitation of Balneario de La Monserrate, Luquillo”, “Julio Monagas Park Remodeling”, “Lighting System Access Ramp LMM Airport”, “Urban Improvements & Underground Facilities, Yauco”, On the private sector he has worked on “AEELA Sucursal Mayagüez”, “SBA Arecibo”, “Centennial Bo. Santo Domingo””, “Vista de la Laguna Condominium”, “Jiggiri Records”, “Sprint PCS”, “Avant Technologies” among others. He was involve in the  “Fase II Rehabilitación de vecindario Vista Alegre”, “Residencias Unifamiliares y multifamiliares” en el vecindario de Vista Alegre y la Calle Comerío del Distrito de Bayamón” and at the Cardinal Health, PR, Inc. project. Actually he is working at the “Alimentador Soterrado 3602-3, Guavate” and “Mejoras a la Avenida Fidalgo Diaz, Carolina”.
